I know everyone has their own method of finding backlinks through negotiations, so I just want to know what you think is the best way and most effective way to do so?

Do you mean link exchanges? I think discussion boards are the best way. So many webmasters roam in many forums. I have exchanged links with various websites using this method. Its also easier than sending emails.

Link exchange is okay in my opinion but not the greatest. If your going for link exchanges you want to make sure the site you are linking to is related to your niche, but also that the site linking back provides you with a DoFollow link so you get some link juice. Going for traditional backlinks is the best way to go in my opinion.

The best way of link exchanging is discussion board and you must also have seen in many forums that people use their back links there because they are more simpler and easier then sending emails..!!
